Evaluation

Evaluation -

For this project we were given a list of different  makeup brands and we told to chose one to create two catwalk looks, two editorial looks and two advertisement images. I chose Dior for my brand as i had already use Dior products and have fell in love with their new spring/summer makeup collection created by Peter Phillips. The theme of Dior's spring/summer collection was glowing gardens using a variety of pastel colours, highlights, and soft light tones. Overall i loved this Beauty and the Brands project and feel i have learnt a variety of new skills that i will be relevant for my upcoming projects. I also loved looking at the beauty side of looks instead of creating and focusing on a character inner previous makeup projects.

I chose 4 models using Lucy and Gemma twice as they are the most reliable. I had booked the studios in advance as i new how fast they are booked up and left myself with plenty of time to prepare. However feel i have room to improve in the importance of detail and push myself out of the box to create unique and interesting designs. From my assessment i was told to concentrate on the blending of foundation and to make sure it was the same match as the skin tone. Throughout the rests of the shoot i feel i really payed attention to this and the skin is more of the same tone.

I have learnt a variety of skills and techniques which include creating matte/dewy skin, eyebrows, eyeliners and how to apply the 2016 trends. Due to having such a wide range i was able to choose from a variety of aspects within the brand. With new releases of eyeshadows, lipsticks, blushers and products such as sunglasses and perfume which can be seen in my advertisement shoots.

Throughout this project i enjoyed every moment from researching , practising and creating my final looks. I i were to do this project again i would stuck to the same brand as i feel you can take it a variety of ways however pay attention to detail and improve my designs to make them out of the box.
